Swimming Success
Accrington Swimming Club took on last year's league winners Great Harwood Otters recently.
It was Accrington's first gala of the season and so it was a tough test for the young swimmers who hadn't competed before and the older swimmers who were well beaten last year.
Although Accrington lost the gala 62-58 they pushed the Otters all the way.
Chief Coach Chris McKean said, "Otters have some really great swimmers but they seemed surprised at how well our club has improved over the space of a year."
"We have a new team manager in Richard Swanney who not only sorted the team out on the night but won his race well."
