Accrington - four wins in a row
QUEG's Pool
The team swam away at QUEG's pool against Darwen and in a close fought competition Accrington pulled off their forth gala in a row to make it four from five, and the second win this year against Darwen.
The final score was announced as Darwen 57 Accrington 59 but after an enquiry the final score was Darwen 57 Accrington 61. The judge had forgot to include two points for an uncontested win by Connor Mellor
Darewn led 30-29 at the half way point, and the score swung backwards and forwards a couple of times but with 4 races to go and 4 points in the lead the team were confident.
Congratulations to the team, who pulled together to overcome missing a number of regular swimmers.

Cash-strapped trust pulls plug on leisure
THE charitable trust running Hyndburn?s sports and leisure services has given six months? notice to quit and hand them all back to the council. Hard-up Leisure in Hyndburn, set up in 2001, made the bombshell announcement this week. Rumours have been rife for several months that the trust was in serious financial difficulties despite an annual £890,000 cash injection from the council.
