NEFL Accrington v Colne

Although some good performances were put in by our swimmers, we were behind from the start and slowly but steadily fell further behind, finishing the gala at 53-66.

Congratulations to all swimmers for a good performance. Although losing 61-56 some great performances and high enthusiasm from all, with 19 swimmers achieving 33 pb's.
The gala started with Colne taking an early 3 pt lead, with Accrington turning it round to lead by 2 points a quarter way into the event and by the half way mark the teams were level.
Although Accrington were only in front for two period the points were still level by event 29, but unfortunately the home team steadily increased their lead after that point to finish the event 5 points infront. For Accrington this is a slight improvement on last years corresponding fixture where we lost by 8 points.

Pioneer'79 Shrimps Gala

Special mention to Samantha Barnes 8th at Backstroke and and Jack Reid 6th at Breaststroke and 8th at Butterfly

North West Colleges Gala

Along with James (Pioneer79), Josh Bibby swam in the North West Colleges Gala held at Broughton Pool, Salford, representing Blackburn College at 100m Free and 50m Fly.
